DCMS Notice of Intent

The Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) issued the attached “Notice of Intent” on the 7th August 2017 for their planned reforms to introduce a new Data Protection Bill. This notice of intent follows the statement included in the Queen’s Speech on the 21st June 2017 for the Opening of Parliament that a new Data Protection Act will be passed during the current parliament which implements the EU General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR).
